Midwest Boomer Bloggers with our hosts. |
Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Boomer Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

I was in the heart of downtown Chicago, aka the "Loop," which includes many shops, restaurants, buildings and artwork.
My trip included two nights in the beautiful Allerton Hotel and two days in the John Hancock Center.
Like Shakespeare's characters, I had a rollicking good time near the longest day of the year. During my stay in Chicago, I got to meet 15 other midlife bloggers from the Midwest. It was a dream come true.

Another blogger "beamed" that to me. How does that work?
1. The first person selects a photo from the camera gallery.
2. Then she and her friend tap the backs of their phones together.
3. The picture then copies from the first phone to the second.

We will be working together over the next six months as Verizon Ambassadors. However, I am hoping to have a longer connection with this group of articulate, talented, dynamic and warm women.
How marvelous to see the people behind the blogs and the tweets that I have been reading for months prior!
I enjoyed connecting with other midlife bloggers as we soaked up the sights in downtown Chicago.
You got some great pictures with your Droid Razr Maxx HD.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me "catch" you beaming pics with Shelley. I am very pleased with the pics. Who needs to buy postcards when you can lean out a trolley window with your phone?
DeleteI loved meeting everyone in Chicago! It will be interesting to see how many 'converts' we get at the end of our trial period with our Droids. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter greeted me at the airport, and the FIRST thing she said was, "Can I have that new phone." Uh, I miss you, too, sweetie.
DeleteI had a blast! It was so empowering meeting all these incredible boomer women.
ReplyDeleteMelissa L: True! Aren't we all great? What synergy. Thank you so much for sharing some of your time with me over those two days. You are fun, and you have great insights about life.

ReplyDeleteI was so hyped up, it was hard to go to sleep (even after taking the red eye into O'Hare from LAX). It was wonderful to meet you.
DeleteFabulous pictures!
ReplyDeleteWonderful learning experience with the Boomers and Verizon. Exceptional memories made while in Chicago.
I have some other pics of our training session, some with you, Lynne, and Magnolia. Those pics will see the light of day at some point. :)
DeleteGood pics! Verizon is lucky to have such a dynamic group of women!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Connie. If hanging out with 15 other bloggers was that fun, I might just pass out from joy if I ever get myself to Blogher.
DeleteGreat pics and post! It was a great experience, and wonderful to meet so many inspirational and talented women!
ReplyDeleteLynne
Lynne: Thanks for stopping by the blog. I had fun using the camera and posting directly to FB and Twitter. The pics are pretty crisp. It was delightful talking with you on Tuesday morning at the training.

ReplyDeleteIt was fabulous to meet you in person.
